First Holy Communion Masses for spring 2016 are tentatively scheduled for the 9am and 12 Noon Masses on April 23, April 30, and May 7. Please check back in early fall to confirm the dates.
The immediate preparation for First Holy Communion, regardless of whether a child attends public or Catholic school, takes place in the home, with the child's parents as the primary catechists.
The Faith Formation Office assists parish families by offering three evening classes for the child and a parent to experience their faith together. At these classes, families will learn about the Mass, scripture and will learn about the True Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. The third class is a rehearsal for the First Communion Mass.
